It has strong cold resistance and anthracnose resistance, with higher yields than Yabukita for both first and second flush teas. Overall quality is equivalent to Yabukita, making it a robust, high-yielding variety suitable for plains and mountainous areas west of Kanto and cool regions of eastern Japan.
