Harumidori has budding and harvesting periods 3-4 days later than Kanayamidori, with aromatic fragrance and rich in umami different from Yabukita. Initial growth is somewhat slow, but tree vigor becomes strong once established, yielding more than Yabukita. It has strong cold resistance and laceration-type frost damage resistance, and is somewhat resistant to anthracnose. Tea processing quality is extremely good, with excellent fresh green color appearance. It is a high-quality, high-yielding variety that can be cultivated in tea growing regions nationwide.
